This is the first Delores Cannon book I've read -- even though it's been in my library for a while. I wish I'd have read it much earlier. As an empath and psychic/medium, I found the material to be a truly amazing journey into the hidden realms of the regressed mind. I've read hundreds of metaphysical books and from each have gained some amazing insight. This book however, kept on giving (page after page) golden nuggets of thought provoking concepts that not only challenged my human thinking, but most of all gave me hope for our species and a new earth. The love that comes through is a treasure to behold.

My name is Collette aka Coco Mojo and I just bought this item from Amazon.The subject of this book was hypnotically regressed and re-experienced what seemed to be a past life on another planet, as a different species. I am convinced there is intelligent life on other planets, so I find this book entirely plausible.In fact, I myself had an interesting experience when I was two years old -- it was so powerful I never forgot it (I have an unusual memory and have fifty very distinct memories before the age of three). I was standing with my parents on the balcony of our apartment in Tujunga, California in 1963, and I looked up at the night sky. I KNEW beyond all shadow of a doubt that THAT was my home -- I had come from the stars! This knowingness was so powerful it made an indelible impression in my mind, and the memory has never left me. (My parents had nothing to do with it -- they weren't Sci-Fi fans at all -- in fact, both were and still are Catholics. So, it's not like they influenced me in any way.)Another interesting incident happened when I was selling my art at a psychic fair many years ago in the Seattle area. An authoritative, elderly woman in a business suit bought one of my sculptures and told me she was a psychic, and offered to give me a FREE reading (she adored my art that much!). We sat down and she glanced for two seconds at my palm (she wasn't reading LINES, per se, but rather was getting a take on my personal "signature").She then looked deeply into my eyes and said, "This is VERY RARE! This isn't your Home, is it?" "No," I responded sadly, "But doesn't everyone feel that way?" "Not like YOU do," she replied. (By now, we both had tears in our eyes, and we held hands.) He turns to Dolores Cannon for past-life regression, and the long series of sessions (under hypnosis) with her reveals a vastly different story of our earth and our universe, which could not even be imagined in our wildest dreams. Such as: Earth was "seeded" over uncountable aeons of time by "star people" in order to make it livable, and eventually they also ... hmmm ... "seeded" human beings. These beings from other planets and universes are mostly not physical and three-dimensional like us, but spirits and energy beings/light beings ... See, if you have a sense of wonder at the unimaginable possibilities of the Universe (far beyond the Milky Way galaxy), read this book. I did not understand everything that the subject, Philip, and the other entities speaking through him, explained.I did find that (maybe, for me) Dolores did not always ask the questions I wanted answers to, and the story does veer off at tangents sometimes. However, with a (miraculous?) non-fiction tale like this, it's easy for me: I cannot simply state that I DO believe the incredible tale, or that I DO NOT believe "such hogwash". I stand neutral towards this amazing revelation, if that is indeed what it is. I found the unfolding story of the timeless millions of years of the development of Earth, plus the incredible populations of various universes fascinating, and it provided me with food for thought.Having had a brief nighttime encounter with a noisy UFO above our house many years ago, and the telepathic message that under no circumstances am I to leave my bed (I so wanted a look!), I know there are aliens out there. I have also twice caught UFO's on photos -- and only saw them once I downloaded the photos and enlarged them.Keep in mind: how small we are, how little we know ... and without committing yourself to a belief in this out-of-this-world tale, keep your sense of wonder and know "there are more things in heaven and on earth than are dreamt of in our philosophy."

Pros:- a good lesson guide for teachers- provides info on kind of music to play with each exercise (e.g. 16 measures in 4/4)- instructs what to do on each beat- takes you on a journey from 1st grade up to eighth- great for students (please read student list below)Cons:- does not describe in detail the quality of the movements (i.e. it's a lesson guide only)- some of the pictures show poor form and technique (e.g. in demi plie in first position the children's turnouts were incorrect - i.e. they were turning out the feet but not the whole leg from the hip down) - SO DON'T USE THE PICTURES OF THE CHILDREN AS A GUIDE!!This book is good for students who:- already have a wide vocabulary of ballet terminolgy- want to train more but can't afford extra classes- are on holiday and don't want to fall behind- want to be able to choose their own level of training (e.g. go back to the basics if they are recuperating from an injury, have had time off dance, or just want to take a break from mentally taxing exercises)- remember better from reading as opposed to watchingI suggest that you use Basic Principles of Classical Ballet (Agrippa Vaganova) to aide your learning. This book (100 Lessons in Classical Ballet...) is great for providing a lesson plan, but it does not aide your learning. Also, by reading Agrippa Vaganova's book along side these exercises you will learn the correct form, technique, and quality of movement in performing these exercises.P.S. Keep in mind that these exercises were made to be executed using the Vaganova method. However, it is very simple to apply any other method to these exercises.

This is a beautiful book. I'm not a dancer, but I do use ballet as my workout. I can see how Vaganova technique is a bit different from anything I ever watched before, and can see why Russian dancers are some of the most exquisite in the world, especially those from the Kirov/Mariinsky Theater. I used some of the techniques and incorporated some of the movements into my own routine, and it has made a LOT of difference in my chest, breath, and arm carriage. I do like this book A LOT.

I found this book really interesting. I think this will really help me as I continue to develop what is appropriate at each level for my students. I think that the Vaganova school takes students at the age of 9, so they are much older than my kiddos. However I think I can still use this information to help me plan my lessons and know what they should be capable of before moving on to the next step. This is very pedagogy driven, so if you are looking for a good book on progression I would say this is a great resource.

This book is fantastic and absolutely worth the investment! I highly recommend this for new and old dance instructors alike.I am a dance instructor with over a decade of teaching experience.

I bought this book together with Vaganova's handbook and a couple other resources. I admit that i learned more just from reading this book than i learned from some of my own dance instructors over many years. While i think it's necessary also to read other technical books for details on HOW to do these exercises, i do think this lesson plan leaves virtually no holes in students' strength, knowledge, or artistry. The thing that i found a tiny bit frustrating is that the exercises are REALLY hard, if you're not trained properly. For example, i tried to give exercises from the 4th Year Lesson 1 Plan in this book to students that were considered "Advanced" at a studio where i had just started teaching, and they literally could not do the exercises! And unfortunately, the 1st and 2nd year exercises are tedious for students used to being given steps that are too advanced and being allowed to botch them. So i would not recommend these lessons for "casual" ballet students (a term i detest!). I would recommend drawing from these lessons for students who are at the beginning of their ballet training, and starting with Year 1. I also found it helpful to watch videos of Vaganova students on YouTube. Sometimes one can find real Vaganova students doing the exact same exercises--and doing them correctly. It's very inspiring!

Good way to practice at home when you just can't wait for class :) I'm surprised they start the first years off at 5th position right away, but hey, Soviet Russia...

This is a great book if you want to teach Vaganova technique, of course it is helpful if one is already trained in the technique. The lessons are progressive, detailed, age and level appropriate. You may find children and young dancers are doing many advance moves with poor execution, especially those students at dance STUDIOS rather than dance SCHOOLS. So, with that being said, when doing a lesson from this book, it may appear to you and the child that it is to easy, however, when practicing with proper execution the child will realize as well as you, the teacher, that the lessons will help fill the holes in the technique of most studio dancers, especially the competition studios that focus on too much dance and very little technique. A child can do 5 pirrouetttes in jazz/lyrical/comtemporary style dance and falls down in one properly executed pirrouette in ballet....typical.

As a Vietnam veteran, reading Trackers caused a flashback to a terrible dark night in Vietnam when I was the only America for miles around with about 100 Montagnards fighting off an enemy bent on our destruction. Although the fighting was not hand-to-hand, it was close enough, and I was thankful to be alive when the smoke cleared the next morning. I still have a VC flag we pulled off the wire, but that is another story.Unlike some novels, “Trackers” leaves the reader with a sense of completion. The Epilogue is an awesome wrap-up to the series. As Raven, one of the main characters, reflects on his fallen comrades, “He wasn’t thinking about how they had died - he was thinking about how they had lived: Honorable, brave, and selfless.” I think about my classmates who died in Vietnam every day. I mourn their loss but give praise and thanks for their example of selfless service to our country. I have pledged myself to live my life in such a way to honor their sacrifice.Although a work of fiction, the threat from North Korea is real. The “Tracker” series serves to inform and prepare us for the unthinkable. The “Trackers” series is destined to become the jewel in the crown of post-apocalyptic mystery-thrillers.

When I find a product I believe in, I shill like there's no tomorrow. It's a good day when I stumble across a new good writer. On a whim, I purchased Nicholas Sansbury Smith's collected bundle of his Trackers series, which was available for download on the cheap. If your jam is grid-down, post-apocalyptic reads, you should be all over this.Me, I've been on a months-long rag, binge-reading post-apocalyptic survival novels. I've read some great ones, some okay ones, some crap ones. The Trackers series, all four books, falls in the top shelf category. Crazy thing is, when written as well as this, you're filled with the sense that this stuff could actually happen. And, sometimes, the writing's so convincing that you start thinking in terms of not "actually could happen" but, rather, "it's a matter of when." Like the best post-apocalyptic survival reads, Trackers makes me want to go out and start stocking up and buy generators and look into homesteading and read up on canning and building Faraday cages and such.Story's set in the quaint tourist mountain town of Estes Park, Colorado, of which claim to fame is its notorious Stanley Hotel, inspiration for the Overlook Hotel in The Shining and the location shoot as Hotel Danbury in Dumb and Dumber. And what I've figured out is if a massive EMP takes out the nation's electrical grid, it's best to not be in the city. Would rather be in a rural area.It helps that the author not only seems to know what he's talking about with these doomsday scenarios, he's savvy with character writing. The folks he introduces are easy to root for, whether it's the police chief or the nurse or the senator lady who used to be a combat pilot. The most showy character is Sam "Raven" Spears, the troubled half-breed and ex-marine who sometimes reluctantly helps out the police chief when a tracker is required. It's thru Raven that the author incorporates these pretty neat elements of Native American folklore, of which my favorites are the myths of Shunka Sapa and the creepy water cannibals.The dope thing about binge-reading is that you can just go from one book to the next. With Trackers, there isn't a weak link. All four books are hard-hitting, well-paced, and character driven. Not everyone makes it out alive, so be careful who you get invested in.Extreme saber rattling. A battered America. A government nearly obliterated. No power. Supplies dwindling. Estes Park - with its 10,000 inhabitants, including tourists - becomes a microcosm of the unspeakable horrors taking place across the nation. I got caught up in the pulse-pounding action, and the last ditch heroics, and in a town's struggle to survive as the townspeople are theatened with street gangs, neo-Nazis, serial killers, and cowards and politicos from within. I love it that the author finds spots to weave in the occasional plot swerve. To me, the most surprising turn is the help that comes from an unexpected ally - that most of us would assume is an enemy - and how that turns out. Very well done.There's only one thing that really bugged me in this series. In the second book, Colton was demoted as police chief. Yet, in the third book, he's back to being police chief. I went thru much of that third book feeling salty about such an egregious lapse in continuity, and, when it finally does get addressed, it's only this passing mention. Grrr. But, hey, that's my only nag.I wouldn't at all mind a movie treatment. Or a mini-series if it's on cable or Netflix. I'd love Colton, Detective Lindsey Plymouth, Charlize, and Nathan breathed life by good actors. Mostly, I want to see Raven onscreen, with his swagger and bad attitude and his twin hatchets and his loyal white Akita dog, Creek. Anyway, Trackers was such a great read, it's convinced me to dive into the author's Extinction Cycle series. Bar's set high.

I purchased all four of these books when they were released and I loved reading all of them. They are an intense series of stories about a post apocalyptic United States after an EMP attack from North Korea. Americans find out that sometimes your worst enemies may even be your next door neighbors and domestic terrorists.The series features a great set of characters and villains and the story just keeps you turning the pages with intense action and disaster. You root for your heroes to survive and to try to recoup some of the sanity that America had before the war.Nicholas Sansbury Smith is an outstanding author and I like all of his books. He has a good writing style and a practical experience in the ability to use his past work experience to bring the story alive. It is the great detail that he writes with as well as the ability to imagine all of the possibilities of such a war that makes these stories great!I highly recommend this series and the price for all four books is a real steal.

Always thought Hazel was too clinging and too naive as far as her relationship with Montana went. Montana done screwed up, telling stories that ain't his, looking at his boy Koda sideways, the issue he has with Lauryn, not too mention thugs coming at him trying to take his spot. He's got too many irons in the fire.Demarco is straight up crazy but I'm liking his character. He and Morgan are hilarious. That whole salon scene too funny.D"Angelo all I have to say is don't sleep on this quiet one. I'm liking how he can come out of his straight lace self and get hood when he needs to.Junie Boy and Tuesday interaction had me like WTF. She talking to a stranger but won't put voice to her fam.This story is so told that it drew me into the scenes taking place. Looking for ward to reading the conclusion to Montana's story.

Desiree has quickly made herself one of my top 5 favorite authors. She did an amazing job with Montana's story. Can't wait for part 2!

Especially when they went to the movies!! lol I loved that Morgan was imperfectly perfect and that her self esteem was through the roof!As a graduate of a HBCU I was taken down memory lane after reading the scene about the probate show!! Enjoyed the cameos by Willow, Ontrell, Azura and Trent!!Desiree is one of my top 5 favorite authors!!! Her brilliance resonates in every book she writes, please NEVER stop!! The story quality runs along the same lines as the previous books in the series. The story continues only a short time after the events of the previous book. There's plenty of action and excitement as well as themes and friendship and grief. However I do think that the author sort of forces the character of Drizzt to make some stupid decisions and then try to explain it away as emotional grief. Nevertheless the story does tighten up and the story flies by.With so much already written in the series the author does well to giving odd to previous events and old characters they have not been seen for a good long while.

Once again R.A. Salvatore shows his mastery of intrigue & suspense in this series. Tolkien, the Master would be hard put to not concede his trophy to Salvatore as the man's mind is pure genius.

I am reading these books in order and have been reading others reviews of them as well. I don't understand how each one seems to be better than the last!. Some are epic adventures and others seem to be small side stories thus far but each one is fantastic. There are always "slow" parts in any book you read but when the action fires in RAs stories your heart speeds up and you can't help but get overwhelmed with the action. If you are considering reading this series I suggest you do so. Stop reading this review start at book 1 and clear your schedule.

Book 1 of the Legend of Drizzt series, Homeland, was a hard read at first with the long complicate names but once I got past that I really liked it and decided to keep reading. I've now read 25+ books from RA Salvatore and would recommend all Legend of Drizzt, Hunters Blade, Transitions, and Neverwinter books as great fantasy reads. Salvatore has such great character development and interesting new adventures that make you want to keep reading. There is a fair amount of fighting, if you're not into that I'd still recommend these books, just read through those parts fast.

Nice and fun series, which is great and fills my void of now rpg sessions atm.

The continuing saga of Drizzt is something I can't put down! His whirling scimitars are something I'd like to see! .Drizzt rocks!

The more in depth look at the Drow during this book shows just how their society works and how twisted their dealings can be.This book has plenty of twists, characters where you would not expect them to show up, unexpected alliances however brief they may be.Still a fantastic read and leads perfectly forward with Drizzt's story :)
