Tell me more than A+ book. But if you want to pass the 902 test, it's not enough. I don't mean it's not good, it's already better than the standard book. But the Simulation is more important than reading, if you have never done the IT services.

Was a good way to review for the exam. I have taken the first half of the A+ and passed and I am now studying for the second half of the test and will use this book for review of that material.

Breaks down and separates 901 and 902. However, be ready to purchase digital supplement which contains questions and interactive exercises. About $14.

This is a very usefull book. it has helped me prepare for the A+ cert that I am going to take at the end of Feb. I will let you know if I pass.

I took the 901 portion of the A+ exam since I'm not as familiar with the hardware aspect as I am with software. I will say it's worth getting the digital copy from the Pearson website for mobility and you get to activities to help you visually and as a review of the each chapter. This definitely helped me understand hardware better and it's easier to follow. Plus doing the interactive activities helped reinforce what I learned.I'll write a follow up on this book when I take 902, but this is a good reference in my opinion for a good price.

I am not an astrology fan, but I am a fan of Caroline Casey's trickster mystery school. This book is wonderful! Loaded with great insight and wit, her knowledge of astrology, mythology, language and fairy tales bring the stars and planets to life. I would highly recommend this book for anyone interested in a good read, in exploring fun and fascinating aspects of life and influence,as well as, well, astrology.

There are no words. I listened to this book on tape over 15 years ago. It changed my world view. This is a unique and original way to use astrology, for self-development and healing; and for co-creation with universal energies. I will be forever grateful to Caroline Casey for sharing her perceptions and knowledge. Read it.

Content is delightful. Informative and entertaining. But on my Kindle Oasis the type doesn't position/reposition itself correctly when there are glyphs and basic bullet lists of planetary qualities. Paragraphs get broken with one part starting where it belongs and another part turning up later in a totally unexpected place. Once you get used to this and can easily find your way to both parts of such paragraphs, all be good.

Well worth the time to read, did some of the practices in the book they seem to work. Enjoy a deeper understand of magical and symbolic language attuned through the archetypes of astrology.

This is an outstanding reference book on the meaning of astrology and of each constellation and planet. While I've read parts of it straight through just out of interest, it's even more helpful and interesting when I have a question about a particular constellation or planet and really want to get more understanding.The author has a more powerful purpose for astrology than allowing one to find out what's going to happen. The author feels that the importance of astrology is that it can one attune one to the forces guiding our lives and so work more in alignment with them, capitalize on them even. Thus the title, "Making the Gods Work for You." This is a much more powerful look at astrology than the usual.The writing style is also unusual. It's in the direction of stream of consciousness as if the author is channeling the cosmic consciousness, a deep source of eternal knowledge -- which she may well be doing. Sometimes the writing is poetic and/or funny. While the book is well-organized into each constellation and planet, due to the writing style, it can be slow-going. So, I usually read a few pages at a time as I need the information. I've needed to re-read parts over and over so that I can take in section as a whole, kind of like being able to swallow a bite of food rather than just read a logical description of what it tastes like.This is an outstanding reference book for attaining deep understanding of each planet and constellation as well as astrology itself.

Already had this book in my library and I ordered a copy for a friend's birthday.Amazon PRIME! got it to her quickly. She loves it!Casey brings the planets to life by envisioning them as dynamic energieswithin us. She writes in a way that is direct and visceral.

This book is a great way to understand the planets and signs in a different way than many other books. There are some bits that are a bit appropriative, but overall, this is my favorite book about astrology that I've read so far!

This is a must have for all graduate nurses and nurses new to medical surgical nursing. It is also great for the critical care nurse to brush up on skill we don't see everyday in the unit although it does contain information such as central lines, temporary pacemaker care, arrythmias and treatment, mechanical ventilation and basic hemodynamic monitoring. My only dislike is that the print is sooooo small. It does contain great illustrations and chart though. Overall it's worth the money since most of these basic procedures don't change much over time. I bought it because I've been out of nursing to raise three kids and am now going back to work. This is a great resource. The format is an alphabetical listing of procedures by name so it's very easy to find just what you're looking for quickly. Make sure you get the 7th edition though. It's the latest version. Happy reading to all my nursing colleagues!

It’s not often you find a book that covers most everything in depth, is relatively short, and an easy read – but that’s what you get in “Making the Magic Happen” by Peter D. Marshall.Certainly, you can buy bigger, more thorough (to the point of ad nausea) books about the subject of screenwriting or working with actors or directing, etc. but sometimes it’s great to just have a book you can go to that tells you what you need to know in simple terms, simple phrases and moves on.Peter D. Marshall’s book is an excellent book for that very reason. Covering pretty much everything, based on years and years of experience on all levels of film, the book is a great resource guide to help you on your way to writing a great script, pulling together talent and taking the plunge in making a film.It’s quite amazing how much he covers in a scant 150 pages and it’s a great book to have in your back pocket if you’re just starting out or need a refresher as a reference book.If I had any complaint whatsoever about the book, it is simply that Mr. Marshall has over 40 years in the business and has worked at practically every job, and he doesn’t go into many stories. I was hoping for some stories from the trenches as to directors who got too full of themselves, actors who didn’t want to rehearse (and how that helped (or hurt) their performances). Producers who were more interested in sleeping with the leading lady (or man) than they were in making a great film, etc. I’m certain that Mr. Marshall has those stories to tell (and could tell them in a way that isn’t incriminating) that would have added an extra layer of interest in this book.In short: This was a great fifteen course meal, just would have liked a little more spice.

I've written a few scripts. They're stories I love and would love to see on the big screen, but in Hollywood, writers hand off their scripts to directors who make the real magic of production happen. Which is why I've always wanted to be both a writer and a director. I've read a ton of books on screenwriting. Making the Magic Happen by Peter D. Marshall isn't my first book to read on directing, but it is the most concise and clear that I've read. I love the way Marshall talks about craft and art and how it's important to master the craft before you get to the art.Marshall walks readers through the entire process of directing a movie. I especially enjoyed the part about breaking down a script, but also about understanding and working with human nature. When and if I direct my first production, Marshall's book is going to be one I go to again and again to make sure I get the process right.

I have mostly worked as a grip on low budget films but have never directed aside from throwing in my two cents when a few friends and I would create a short or movie. I learned quite a bit from this book. I learned that if you have an interest you can learn to direct. I also learned that I am not nearly organized enough to be the actual director of a film. Perhaps a topic for another book.(Ha Ha)The book is well organized in a logical order. It covers topics that I think any director would need to learn about. A wonderful book for aspiring directors of films or TV.
