I got this for my papa a couple christmas's ago. He recently passed away and I read it. I never thought he would actually write in but he did! The questions are amazing. My papa was not very talkative, but with this I saw a whole other side of him. The book has tons of pages and cute fun questions. I love this book i am so happy i got this. I will keep it forever.

This is my second Memories Book, it was both a pleasure and a sorrow to fill in the pages; a pleasure because my Granddaughter now has a look into what my life was like as I was growing up, and the sorrow came from re-living a few of the low points in my life. I would say that overall, this is one of the best ways to continue passing on down to the future generations things that helped to shape your life and make you the person that you have become. It can show the Grandchildren how to overcome the problems of life and also how to remember those people, places, and things that we all need to keep in mind as we grow older.

This book looks small but it's packed with so many questions. I bought this as a gift my dad enjoyed filling it out and said it helped bring back memories he hadn't thought of in years. Perfect gift for loved ones . We gave as a gift and got it back filled out for christmas. Buy this don't hesitate

These are the best value! So beautiful and thoughtful, really wish I bought these for DH and I too instead of another brand. Seriously get this book, it has significantly more included than the others!

I liked it but prefer one I purchased for grandma only because I prefer a regular book as opposed to the spiral binding. But I do prefer this set up as you fill out one question a day!

This is a super way to get loved ones including yourself to begin to save your family history. The concept is wonderful, and the questions are a good way to begin remembering.

(review written by Nick's wife) I came across these memory books in a parenting magazine and loved the idea of having my children's grandparents fill them out. I even bought some for my grandparents to fill out for me.After searching through everything Amazon has to offer, I ended up purchasing a variety of books. I bought Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, Tell Me Your Memories. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I really didn't think they would all be the same with a different cover page as they are. I was really disappointed in the size of the books. They are 4" x 5.5" with a 1" spiral binding. Each is about 1" thick. It is laid out for a full calendar year - each day having a different question or memory for the person do write about. The pages have a question at the top and are blank (no lines) below.The other books I decided to purchase are: A Grandparent's Legacy and Memories for My Grandchild. A Grandparent's Legacy is laid out month-by-month with topics to discuss. The book measures 8" x 5" with a nice covered spiral binding and is about .75" thick. Each page has topics to discuss and lines for writing. Memories for My Grandchild has the most flexible layout - meaning there is no guide for filling things out at a certain time. It is also the largest book, measuring about 8" x 10" and just less than 1" thick. It has a covered spiral binding. This is the only book with a pocket in the back to drop in any special items and a pull-out page to fill in the family tree. The pages in this book are lined as well.The books all cover similar questions and memories. I haven't gone page-by-page to compare, but have been pleased with what I've seen so far. Since the books are so similar, I'm basing my overall opinion on the appearance. My favorite would have to be A Grandparent's Legacy.

Normally I don't like pre-set questions and prefer to choose my own, but this was ideal for my (grandfather) husband who will be completing this book with my prompting, as a keepsake for the grandkids. It's sturdy, and the binding makes it easy to write in, because the pages lie flat. Yes, it is small, but that's part of its charm. While all questions will not be applicable to all grandfathers, it's easy to work your way around them. I know this will be treasured in years to come.
